It doesn't bother me that the PS3 doesn't come with HDMI cables, I'll just get one online for less than $10. I'll be using it with a Sony 1080p native TV, so it will be worthwhile for me to have the HDMI output. But for most people, in DJ's situation (and theMART from your posts) then component cables are probably the way to go, and buying good component cables like DJ is doing is probably the way to go in that situation. Any component cables bundled with the PS3 would be crap as they woul...

I'm not an Xbox guy, but I believe it will. The question is whether any 1080p will accept a native 1080p signal through component. I don't know of any. I don't know of any currently out that will accept a native 1080p signal through VGA either, they may downscale to 720p and then re-upscale to 1080p. I know that the Sony TV that I'm getting will only accept up to 720p via it's VGA input and will not upscale to 1080p. So you'll basically have the image not fill up the whole screen. The w...

Good news. Makes me wish I had a PSP, maybe for my birthday next year. But I'm still hesitant about getting one when it's in the back of my mind that probably very soon they'll be coming out with one that has an internal hard-drive.

Now that this is coming out and is getting great reviews, hopefully they'll start putting out some info on Killzone PS3.

Honestly, I don't miss the rumble. I have a Pelican wireless controller for my PS2 that I bought, and realized after I started using it that it didn't have rumble. Then I realized that I didn't really care, it was nice to have wireless and a light controller. Very comfortable as well.

I completely agree with Zypher. Chill out, Dante, and you may get some bubbles back.

Right, and the PS3 extra episodes will be exclusive to the PS3. Personally I'm really tired of these games, unless Rockstar really changes it a lot. I'm looking forward to LA Noire a lot more than this.

I agree with Nitrogenb. Played the 360 version, looked incredible. But this looks significantly different and much better.

Flow has been around for a while I believe. If you do a Google search you can play it. I actually checked it out after I heard that it would be one of the arcade titles for the PS3. It's actually a really fun game, very soothing and easy to pass the time with. Even though it is free online, I'm eager to buy it and play it on a HDTV using the tilt controller. Hopefully there are more games like that planned.

I don't really care whether the 360 gets it or not, I'm just stating that he flat-out denied it, versus Ubisoft danced around the question by saying "It has only been announced for PS3." Anything can happen these days, multiplatform is where the money is at. I never thought Resident Evil would go to any other console than Playstation after all the releases they had, but they were able to get more money by going multiplatform, so who knows. Dead Rising will probably be on PS3, the...

Too bad I can't see this at work. Anything good on the list?

7034d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

It doesn't say that at all. It says they are developing next generation games Resident Evil 5 and Devil May Cry 4. It doesn't say that Devil May Cry 4 is multi-platform. Their VP of marketing said here that it was only for PS3. http://www.next-gen.biz/ind...

You mentioned Windows in comparison to this. Windows is a memory hog and always will be. I believe that Windows is DOS based, versus Linux and Apple's OS's are Unix based (correct me if I'm wrong). Unix and Linux are known for being more secure and more stable than Windows, also requiring less system resources.

So yeah, I think that the Cell with it's 8 cores (1 PPU and 7 SPU's) will be able to run it just fine.

Nice commercial. Seems to just be an introduction to the ad campaign.. Looking forward to the next ads for this.

Hyperbear- My gamertag will be andy capps. Looking forward to playing Resistance online with all of you. Can anyone say 40 player matches of breach? :)

Scriptkiddie- Why did you vote lame on this article? Don't like the harddrive in the picture? Don't like that Sony is offering choice to it's buyers over what size harddrive to get? Or is it just because you vote lame on every PS3 article? I think we all know the answer to the above questions...

This isn't new news, but it's cool to actually see a picture of it.

Don't be mad because I showed that you were wrong in this thread: http://www.news4gamers.com/...

I'm not a PS3 fanboy, any objective observer of my posts (go ahead, read through them) will see that.

Yeah man, you have me totally figured out. I'm a PS3 fanboy, I bleed Playstation...

Just because you're a fanboy doesn't mean that I am or that everyone on here is. We all know that you vote lame on every PS3 news article. There is a difference between someone that prefers a particular console over another and a fanboy. I prefer Sony, but I am not a fanboy in the least. If you will look at my posts from the past, you will see that I am fair to the other consoles and when I...

You should definitely take back that $100 HDMI cable and get one cheaper online for less than $10. You can get a game and possibly another controller (for Xbox 360 or PS3) for the difference. There is no difference between a higher end HDMI cable and one of the Monster cables, other than the name. As long as the digital connection is unbroken, then you're fine. Obviously you shouldn't get something that is a piece of crap, but there are plenty out there for less than $10 that are great ca...

If you read the SOE's presidents blog I think it'll make more sense, that and the interview with Xfire's higher-up. The reason for Xfire is that it brings more visibility to their service, and may attract some PS3 users to use Xfire on their PC's (which is where they get their money from, as there will be no advertising on the PS3 version of Xfire). SOE wins because they'll be able to use it for upcoming MMO's that are for both PC and PS3. Hopefully this also means that they'll provide key...

You beat me to it, I was about to post this. Great article, to sum it up.. Playstation network service is operational, one name sign on, multiple users are supported, online multiplayer is free except for subscription based MMO's, transactions will be done through Playstation's store using actual dollars (not points), MMO's subscriptions will be paid for from there so you don't have to give your credit card info to anyone other than Sony, instant messaging and email is there, web browser is ...
